Simpson told djbios that after Tyler Rouse of Minimal Sessions asked him to put together a mix, he recorded it in a single take one morning. Minimal Sessions is an event promoter and record label based in L.A. that was founded by Rouse and Matthew “Shmitty” Smit in 2016. Their inaugural release was a compilation of singles by artists including Durtysoxxx, Britton and Brennen Grey – in addition to Rouse and Smit themselves.
